Observing how Social Innovation Tales are presented, it emerged that attention is often given to the initiatives in itself without taking into consideration those who live the change, those from whom and for whom
these interventions were designed and implemented. In other words, a description with everyday languagmade by people and for people is missing.
Regarding social innovation initiatives, it is common to talk about forms of
collective learning and civic participation, but in most of the cases these terms are meaningless for people involved in such processes. For example, "social innovation", "sharing economy", "civic engagement" and so on are terms used by experts to describe SI with analytical categories that then become stories. Stories made of these words could be sterile from the point of view of the people involved.
The goal of Prismatica is to highlight the good practices of commonfare, selecting them among practices that could be defined as Social Innovation, and filling this broad term with meanings coming from the experience of people engaged in such good practices.
To achieve this, Prismatica aims at building a documentary that describes different practices of Social Innovation in Italy. The documentary will collect several stories in which IS initiatives are described from the point of view of the addresses. All the videos will be based on interviews to the protagonists of the experiences and to the members of the local realities where the initiatives take place. Prismatica wants to create a map of faces and stories.
The journey will narrate about ten experiences, the first video will be released on the Common Platform soon...
